So, if you're a teen in the 21st century, it's probably a safe bet to say you have an income, in some way or another. Whether it be from a 9-5 Job, mowing the lawn, cleaning the garage, or pretty much anything you could think of.Either way, if you are getting an income, it can be very difficult, even for adults, to manage money. In this article I'll go over some basic rules of etiquette as well as some tips and tricks to help you save. I will also go over some mobile applications that can do all the saving for you! Technology these days.
1) Find a place to put your money
Look. When your a teenager, the last thing that's going to be on your mind is a bank account. But seriously. It takes less than 15 minutes to open an account, and some accounts even earn interest!Being a teen, Your parents will need to be a joint account holder on your bank account, for security purposes.
So, if your parents have a certain bank that they go to, I suggest talking to them about opening your own account at their bank.If you already have an account, congratulations. You're half way there!
2) Save for the Future
Okay. I get it. Some people don't plan on going to college after high school. But there has to be SOMETHING you're trying to save up for. whether it be a car, an apartment OR college, saving up can be extremely difficult.Like I mentioned, below are some mobile applications that can actually do the Saving for you.
3) Make a list
Seriously. It takes two minutes a day to write down what you spend. Just make the damn list! It'll help you out in the long run!

The mobile application "Digit" is one of the best mobile applications available to help you save. If you authorize them to do an Automatic Clearing House Withdraw (ACHW) from your Account every month, it'll throw that amount of money (the amount of money you authorized) into a separate savings account, where you can then withdraw the money out whenever you need it.
